I am a female and 45 years old. I am two weeks post-op from my HTO surgery. Well all I can say right now is, thank God for percocet and morphine!! What horrible pain. This is my fifth knee surgery. I have had 3 surgeries on my right knee and this is my second on my left knee. I am extremely happy with my surgeon. He has been extremely up front about what would happen, what he would do, he showed me my xrays today of exactly what the inside of my knee looks like. He told me that I would be a little bit knock kneed. I am finding that I am having a bit of cramping in my arch. I am assuming this is normal, but forgot to ask him. My pain has decreased immensely! I have had a LOT of practice with crutches but have still managed to fall 3 times! The surgeon made me have xrays today just to make sure that I didn't cause any further damage. Thankfully I hadn't.  I hope to update this blog regularly. If you have any questions, or comments I would gladly answer any emails.

Oh man, 5 knee surgeries? Have they all been for one condition or have previous ones not worked the way they were supposed to? I've had one knee surgery and am really hoping to never have to have another one. Fingers crossed!
