  • Hot pain in hip/pelvis
I was just diagnosed with ITB but my searing pain is in my upper pelvis and hip area. I had some classic ITB knee pain briefly a month or two ago but stopped running and it went away. The intense pain I'm feeling now radiates from the area of my sacro-iliac joint down into my outer thigh but I feel nothing in my knee. I have spasms in my outer thigh and my leg has lost 50% of its strength in just three days. I will be going to PT and am taking heavy duty painkillers. I can't stand up straight, can hardly find a single comfortable position and any leg cross-over moves are excruciatingly painful. During the summer I hike, jog, and bicycle. In the winter (recently) I have been using the stair climber and lifting weights. I'm not a big runner.
