Two years ago I had a knee injury during an ice hockey practice. I thought it was a serious injury, because I heard my knee pop and I couldn't even skate off the ice, much less stand. It was very bruised and swollen, so they took me to the emergency room where I got an MRI. It turned out I just had a bad sprain, so they wrapped up my knee, gave me a pair of crutches and suggested physical therapy.
I thought my knee had completely healed, but in the past year I have hurt it twice again, though I have not gone back to the ER~ it didn't really do me much good last time and cost me over $100.00.
My boyfriend, who is a physical therapist, has recommended a brace or support, because my knee has been hurting during cheerleading practices. I don't wear it though, because as the Varsity Cheerleading Captain, I feel it's restrictive and I cannot jump as high or do stunts as well.
But there are many times I have had to leave practice early, because I can't put any weight on my knee at all and also it swells a lot.
I'm wondering what I should do about my knee and also I had Osgood-Schlatter as a young teen, so I don't know if it's that or my hockey injury that's bothering me now. Thank you for reading my post.. Please pray for me!
Much Love,
Greta Tilford
