Amongst all the other issues that I've been having as health declines. Right knee aches today. Actually its the area above the knee that's bothering me but I'm guessing that pressure is bearing down on my knee. Only seems to bother me when I am walking and not even when I am bending it if I am reclining or sitting down. Will get it checked by a doctor soon as time permits.

I saw an interesting post the other day about how you should tie your shoes differently depending on whatkind of feet problem you have. This isn't it, but it's the closest I could find: http://www.wefitshoes.com/lacing-guide-s/66.htm
. I wonder if different ways of lacing your shoes have different effects on your knees too.

Be careful with the leg exercises!
Leg extensions are actually pretty dangerous for those with knee problems, as the extension pushes the leg muscles against the kneecap - risking more problems.
It's best to stick with exercises like:
- Leg presses
If you want to strengthen the muscles without risking joint injury, try isometric (static, or unmoving) exercises like wall squats. There's no movement of the joint, so there's little risk of the injury or ache getting worse.

I would also recommend some light leg exercises that dont place too much stress on your knees. For example, leg extensions are a great way to strengthen your quadricep muscles. Strenghten quads allieviates some of the impact and stress on your knees. So in turn, stronger leg muscles equals stronger, more stable knees. I tried it out and it worked wonders for me.

Hmm- has anyone checked your knee area and other joints for early Osteoarthritis? & have you been screened for Gout? Ask your doctor when you see him or her...
