What is acidity?
Our stomach produces hydrochloric acid to breakdown and digest food we have consumed. In order to control the amount of acid being produced, it is necessary to eat at regular intervals and avoid food that can trigger an unnatural reaction, like oily and spicy food. But, when the food being consumed cannot match the levels of acid being produced (usually when there are long intervals between meals), it leads to excessive secretion in the gastric glands and this, in turn, causes heart burn.
