Another option would be blood flow stimulation therapy. I know a few people who have tried it and it really works great. It helps the knee heal naturally just by increasing the blood flow. The problem with surgery is they cut away part of the soft tissue that the body needs for cushioning and it doesn't grow back so yes I've read lots of forum post from people who were not happy with the outcome of their surgery. Physio therapy can alsp be costly and time consuming. The blood flow stimulation therapy is something you can do at home every day, several times a day and no extra charge and it works.
