Depression often results after being injured or having surgery in your knees because your mobility is compromised, but depression itself makes it hard to do rehab exercises to get your knee back in shape and hopefully become healthy and happy again.
Hopefully, mental health would be cared for just as much as physical health if one were to become depressed after an injury, but a lot of people still have misconceptions about antidepressants and therapy. Some may ignore severe depression and tell themselves they will eventually "get over it" and that may cause greater problems in their knees for the future.
Has anyone experienced this problem?
